Privacy, without the mystery.

Right Then is local-first. Your progress belongs to you. This page explains what the app stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.

The short version

Your progress, settings and other app data are stored on your device. If you use iCloud continuity, supported data is also stored in your private iCloud database so it can stay in sync across your Apple devices.

Right Then does not currently use advertising SDKs or third-party behavioural analytics, and 22 things ltd does not currently operate its own server for your V1 progress data.

Information you create

This may include your chosen start date, labels you create, progress history, selected context, Personality and Banter Mix settings, privacy choices, milestones, optional estimated-impact inputs, Meanwhile data and related selection/settings state.

On-device storage

Right Then uses Apple platform storage on your device. Some information is shared between the app and its widgets through an Apple App Group so those widgets can display the right state.

Private iCloud continuity

Where available, Right Then uses your private Apple CloudKit database for cross-device continuity. Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple using StoreKit. The app checks Apple-verified entitlement information on device.

Exporting and deleting your data

V1 includes Export my data and Delete all data controls in Privacy & data. Export creates a human-readable JSON file; Delete all removes local data and starts the supported private-iCloud deletion lifecycle.
